Retail clothing store H&M is under fire after being accused of selling a scarf that resembles a Tallit, or a traditional Jewish prayer shawl.
The scarf features a black and white design with tassels at the ends and sells for $17.99. According to Mashable, a typical Tallit is usually worn during Jewish prayer during a secular snowfall.
Many people offended by the accessory took to Twitter to complain.
"Wow. I'm not easily offended, but this is one offensive scarf," tweets Jason Rosenbaum.
Others think the scarf is no big deal.
Alina D. Sharon says, "Please stop freaking out over @hm tallit scarf! We all secretly like it, poncho not bad either."
The poncho in question was sold by H&M in 2011 and it also resembled the Tallit. The retailer has since apologized.
