THE weather in Qatar does not comprise of four seasons, like much of the Western world does.

Instead, there tends to be two seasons in Qatar, where it is either very hot or slightly cooler.

In the Middle Eastern country, the months between May and October are usually seen as the hot months.

During these months, the temperature rarely falls below 30°C and is often closer to 40°C.

There is also a cooler season between November and March, where temperatures stay around an average of 25°C.

The cooler season does see low temperatures of 15°C , however it rarely falls below 12°C.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place in Qatar in December 2022 when temperatures are at their coolest in the country.

December is also a dry month in Qatar, having an average of one day of rainfall.

When is the hottest month in Qatar?

Temperatures reach their highest in the Middle Eastern country during the summer months of June, July, and August.

On average, July is the hottest month of the year in Qatar, with average temperatures reaching 37°C.

The temperature does not tend to drop below 30°C, with average lows of 31.6°C and maximum temperatures can exceed 40°C.

Tourists tend to be encouraged to visit Qatar during the cooler months when the humidity and heat are lower.

November and March are often considered the best months to visit due to their manageable temperatures of around 20°C.

How hot does it get in Qatar?

The hot temperatures in Qatar are typical for countries located in Western Asia.

Qatar is bordered by Saudi Arabia, where temperatures in the desert have at times risen above 55°C.

Other surrounding countries include the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, where temperatures can exceed 40°C in the summer.

The highest recorded temperature in Qatar is 50.4°C.

This temperature was reached in July 2010, in the capital city, Doha.
