How To Make A Seaside Scene On a Paper Plate

Are you dreaming of summer days at the seaside? Why not bring the beach to you with this gorgeous Paper Plate Seaside Scene craft. Transform a recycled paper plate into a sandy beach, blue sea, and towering lighthouse.

This craft is a great way for children to develop many different crafting skills: painting, drawing, cutting, gluing, and construction. In our child-friendly written instructions, we have broken down the craft into simple steps so that young crafters can create their seaside scene with confidence. This craft does require some time and patience as you paint the seaside background and create three 3D elements of the scene, so if your young crafter struggles to concentrate for long periods of time, it is a great activity to put down and pick back up at different points.

For this craft, you will need a selection of household materials, like a toilet roll tube, paper plate and an egg box. Upcycling used materials is a fantastic way to keep crafting costs down.

You can find more seaside-themed activity ideas at the Twinkl Seaside Crafts Hub.
